In addition to being an event encouraging radical self expression, Burning Man is also an experiment in temporary community. The fleeting nature of this community, however, is primarily in terms of the solid and quantifiable toys and structures we bring to the desert.
For many, simply attending Burning Man marks them as members of a unique community. The Burning Man Project and the producers of Burning Man 1997 enthusiastically encourage all mechanisms for further perpetuation of community outside the event itself.
There are several avenues for participants to stay connected to others; email lists, bulletin boards, and specific Burning Man staff email addresses are all available. We also encourage you to list your web site in our Community Links section.
